ADAPTED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The physical activity center offers adapted physical activity as a therapeutic tool for children and adults, in small groups or individual treatments, in a supportive and protective environment.
The sports center is innovative and unique and includes four diverse halls: activity hall, a gym, a virtual reality room and a challenge hall with advanced movement equipment such as climbing wall, swings, ladders, and exercise equipment.
For children, we offer activities that are based on strengthening their motor abilities, such as strength and balance. At the same time, we work on behavioral skills, such as dealing with challenging situations and initiative. These skills allow an improvement in the child’s social skills. During treatment, we put emphasis on achieving motor abilities, together with the child’s sense of ability.
For adults, we offer physical activity aimed at improving their Activities of Daily Living (ADL), quality of life and inclusion. The therapy focuses on using the existing capabilities, despite the disability. Adapted physical activity is a natural continuation of the medical and paramedical intervention and it allows rehabilitation of the confidence if the body and its abilities.
Out staff includes physical education teachers, behavioral analysts and physiotherapists.
We provide service to a wide range pf people with disabilities: children with ADHD, ASD, low muscle tone, developmental coordination disorder and social difficulties, as well as adults who need adapted physical activity and rehabilitation due to diseases injuries, medical procedures and physical traumas.
The initial meeting will include a functional evaluation of the client’s abilities and the treatment goals will be determined accordingly. During the series of treatments, you will receive guidance for adapted physical activity which you will be able to continue at the end of the series of treatments.
